Looks Like ‘Mina The Hollower’ Will Be Getting A New Release Date Soon

Yacht Club Games announced that Mina the Hollower has officially gone gold, signaling the completion of development. Originally slated for a spring 2026 release, the game may now slip past that window as the developer has only recently begun the submission process with first-party partners.

While an official release date remains unannounced, Yacht Club Games indicated one will arrive very soon, with May emerging as a likely timeframe. The submission process for console releases typically involves certification requirements that can extend timelines beyond initial projections.

Mina the Hollower is a Zelda-inspired action adventure designed to capture the aesthetic and gameplay of classic Game Boy titles. The game represents the long-awaited follow-up to Shovel Knight, the critically acclaimed retro-inspired platformer that established Yacht Club Games’ reputation for expertly crafted modern classics.

The title is launching on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, with the latter version supporting enhanced performance at 120fps. This significant technical upgrade showcases the new console hardware’s capabilities compared to the original Switch version. The game’s pixel art visual style will benefit from the improved performance ceiling on Switch 2.
