Spider-Noir Live-Action Series Receives Marvel Comics Tie-In

Marvel Comics is partnering with Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios to release a companion comic book ahead of the upcoming Spider-Noir live-action streaming series. The collaboration will debut Spider-Noir #1, which serves as both a prelude to the television adaptation and an introduction to Nicolas Cage’s Ben Reilly character in this version of the Spider-Man universe.

The comic will be published in two distinct editions—an “Authentic Black-and-White” version and a “True-Hue Full Color” version, mirroring the presentation options available for the streaming series itself. This dual-format approach emphasizes visual style as a core element of the Spider-Noir experience.

Marc Guggenheim writes Spider-Noir #1, with Jay Martin providing the story outline and Stefano Raffaele handling artwork. The collaboration represents a notable example of Marvel Comics creating material that directly ties into live-action film and television adaptations, a strategy particularly suited to the Spider-Noir property given its distinct aesthetic.

The release timing positions the comic as a bridge between the comic book universe and the live-action adaptation, offering fans context and character introduction before the series premiere on the Amazon MGM platform.
