Xbox Free Play Days has acquired MLB The Show 26, Age of Mythology: Retold, and more for all Xbox players to enjoy — this upcoming weekend only
Xbox has announced its latest Xbox Free Play Days promotion, running from April 23–26, 2026, offering Xbox Game Pass subscribers complimentary access to a selection of games for a limited time. The announcement was made on April 23, 2026, with the program featuring MLB The Show 26 and Age of Mythology: Retold among its offerings.
Xbox Free Play Days is a regular promotional initiative by Microsoft that provides Game Pass members with an opportunity to play full games without additional cost during designated weekends. This particular rotation grants players access to MLB The Show 26, the latest baseball simulation title, and Age of Mythology: Retold, a reimagining of the classic real-time strategy franchise. Additional titles are also included in the promotion.
The program serves multiple purposes within Microsoft’s gaming ecosystem strategy. For players, it offers a risk-free way to sample games they may not have otherwise tried. For publishers and developers, it provides exposure to millions of potential customers across Xbox platforms. Game Pass subscribers can take advantage of the extended weekend window to experience these titles before the promotion concludes.
