Epic Games Confirms Fortnite Refunds for D4vd Cosmetics, Plans Further Changes

Popular singer and streamer D4vd (David Anthony Burke), aged 21, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder following the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose death allegedly occurred on or around April 23, 2025. Burke is also facing charges including lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and mutilating a dead body, and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Prior to his arrest, D4vd had cosmetics in Fortnite, including the Feel It and Trophy Drop emotes and multiple Jam Tracks. A cosmetics bundle featuring all of his items was released on April 25, 2025. Following his arrest, the Fortnite community called for Epic Games to remove his items from the game, with players requesting refunds for purchased cosmetics.

Epic Games has responded by confirming that players who wish to refund D4vd cosmetics can do so by contacting player support. The company has indicated that further changes related to these items are planned, though specific details about those changes have not yet been disclosed. This decision reflects Epic Games’ position that it does not wish the game to be associated with the serious allegations against Burke.
