Disgaea’s Crazy Hack and Slash Spin-Off Nails Down July Release Date on PS5
Disgaea Mayhem, the highly anticipated hack and slash spin-off of the Disgaea franchise, has officially received a western release date. The action game will launch on PlayStation 5 on July 23rd, 2026.
The game places players in the role of main character N.A., who can equip seven different weapon types, each with unique movesets and abilities. True to the series’ signature style, weapons can be upgraded to extreme levels, offering the characteristic over-the-top progression system fans expect from Disgaea titles.
The timing of Disgaea Mayhem’s release puts it among a cluster of action RPGs arriving on PS5 in July. It follows Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok (July 9th) and Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online (July 10th), creating a substantial lineup of sword-swinging combat experiences for players during the month.
