Guide: These 23+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out This Week (27th-3rd May)
The week of April 27th to May 3rd marks a significant release period for PlayStation consoles, with over 23 new games launching across PS5 and PS4. Two major titles are expected to dominate headlines: Saros, a first-party PlayStation Studios release positioned as a major release, and Invincible VS, a fighting game offering competitive gameplay.
Additionally, NTE, a GTA-inspired gacha game, is among the notable entries for the week. Multiple titles are launching on April 28th alone, including Aphelion, a PS5 sci-fi adventure game. In Aphelion, players control Ariane and Thomas, accomplished astronauts from the European Space Agency, tasked with surveying Persephone—a newly discovered ninth planet at the solar system’s edge. The mission is critical to humanity’s survival, as Earth is projected to become uninhabitable by 2060, making Persephone humanity’s best hope for establishing a new civilization.
Blastoids also launches on April 28th, though limited details are available. This substantial week of releases demonstrates the ongoing momentum of PlayStation’s game library, offering diverse experiences across AAA first-party titles, indie games, and competitive fighting games for both PS5 and PS4 audiences.
