Xbox Fans Share Their ‘Birthday Gift’ Point Rewards Following Last Week’s New Feature
Xbox has introduced a new birthday gift feature that rewards players with Microsoft Rewards points. According to Xbox employee Brenna Duffitt, the feature provides a 2x multiplier on Rewards points for any games or add-ons purchased during a user’s birthday week, with accumulated points claimable the following week.
Throughout the day, multiple examples of these birthday rewards have surfaced online, with Xbox fans sharing their point allocations. The rewards vary considerably, ranging from a few hundred Microsoft Rewards points to several thousand, depending on purchases made during the promotion period.
However, the feature has generated confusion among the Xbox community. Many players are receiving birthday gift rewards even though their actual birthdays occurred weeks or months prior to receiving the notification. This timing discrepancy has led to widespread speculation about how the feature determines eligibility and when rewards are distributed, prompting Xbox players to seek further clarification about the promotion’s mechanics.
