Capcom raises FY25 outlook following boost from Resident Evil: Requiem
Capcom has raised its fiscal year 2025 earnings forecast, boosted by stronger-than-expected performance from Resident Evil: Requiem. The company now projects net sales of ¥195.3 billion ($1.22 billion), representing a 2.8% increase from its previous estimate, and net income of ¥54.5 billion ($342 million), a 6.9% increase from the prior forecast.
The revised outlook reflects the title’s commercial success, alongside continued strong performance from the publisher’s catalogue titles across major franchises. Capcom also reported robust results from its Amusement, Arcade Operations, and Amusement Equipment divisions, which contributed to the overall forecast improvement. The company had previously anticipated that catalogue sales would represent 85.2% of its fiscal year revenue, demonstrating the enduring popularity of its established IP portfolio alongside newer releases.
The results highlight the importance of both new releases and evergreen titles in Capcom’s business model, with Resident Evil: Requiem serving as a significant driver of the company’s profitability for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
