Every FGC Tournament at EVO Japan 2026

EVO Japan 2026 will host one of the largest fighting game tournaments of the year, beginning May 1. The event will feature at least 12 competitive tournaments spanning popular fighting game titles including Street Fighter, Tekken, 2XKO, and Guilty Gear, drawing top players from around the world to compete in the fighting game community’s premier annual event.

The tournament offers substantial incentives for competitors. Organizers have committed ¥30,000,000 (approximately $200,000 USD) in combined prize money to be distributed across all featured games. Individual prize pools for each title will be boosted relative to player participation, with more prize money allocated to tournaments that attract larger sign-up numbers. The top eight finishers from each tournament will receive prizes.

EVO Japan 2026 holds significance beyond immediate prize purses. Multiple tournaments will serve as official qualifiers for the Esports World Cup and other major international fighting game competitions, making strong performances at the event essential for players pursuing professional careers in competitive fighting games. The tournament represents both a celebration of FGC culture and a critical opportunity for players to gain recognition and qualification for elite-level international competition.
