Helldivers 2 Dev Agreed Exosuits Were Too Fragile, So Now They Are Twice As Strong

Helldivers 2 has received patch 6.2.2, which significantly buffs the game’s Exosuits in response to community feedback. Developer Arrowhead Studios acknowledged that the mechs were too fragile and could “take too little damage and break too easily.” The update nearly doubles the main health of Exosuits and their arm health. Arms, which were previously the most commonly destroyed component, now have 50% explosion resistance matching the main body, improving their survivability in combat.

The patch also introduces two new forest biomes featuring tranquil landscapes with winding paths and dense trees, offering aesthetic contrast to the game’s frantic gameplay. Melee weapons have been rebalanced as part of the overall balance changes.

The Exosuit buffs arrive alongside the new Exo Experts Warbond, a $10 premium bundle featuring new mech designs optimized for close-combat and fire-based offense, including flamethrower and grenade-lobbing variants. This marks the first mech evolution in two years. The updates represent Arrowhead’s response to community criticism and its commitment to improved developer communication and action on player feedback.
