Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Update Out Now, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has received an update from Digital Eclipse that adds Krossplay functionality, enabling cross-platform online multiplayer. The feature was notably absent when the collection launched in October 2025, but the update now allows players on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC to compete against each other online.

Krossplay is disabled by default but can be activated through the online options menu. The feature is supported in both Quick Play and Online Arcade modes, allowing players to join matches regardless of their platform. However, a technical limitation prevents Mortal Kombat Trilogy from supporting online Krossplay specifically on the Nintendo Switch.

This addition addresses a significant gap in the collection’s launch offering and represents a welcome quality-of-life improvement for the fighting game community. Cross-platform play has become increasingly standard in modern fighting games, making this update valuable for both competitive players seeking larger matchmaking pools and casual fans looking to play with friends across different systems.
