Jujutsu Kaisen’s spin-off sequel now has a special promo courtesy of MAPPA

MAPPA, the animation studio responsible for producing the first three seasons of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation, has released a special promotional video for Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, a spin-off manga by Gege Akutami. The promo celebrates the launch of Modulo’s third and final volume on May 1, 2026.

Jujutsu Kaisen concluded its original manga serialization with a semi-satisfying ending, yet Akutami’s expansive dark fantasy universe has proven fertile ground for additional stories. Modulo extends the franchise beyond the main narrative, with the promotional video officially shared through the franchise’s X/Twitter account and subsequently uploaded to Shonen Jump’s YouTube channel.

The animation showcases MAPPA’s characteristic quality, featuring fluid and detailed sequences that faithfully render Akutami’s intricate artwork. Animator Shun Miyagawa, previously credited on Chainsaw Man, is involved in the promotional material, reflecting continued commitment to skilled animation direction for the franchise.

This promotional effort demonstrates the ongoing expansion of the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise beyond its core series, leveraging the animation studio’s expertise to promote spin-off material to audiences.
