NACON Connect Being Held Next Week
French video game publisher Nacon has announced that its rescheduled Nacon Connect showcase will take place on May 7, 2026, moving forward despite significant financial and operational challenges. The event was originally scheduled for March 4 but was postponed following Nacon’s announcement in late February that it had filed for emergency insolvency.
The timing of the announcement is particularly notable, coming just hours after Nacon announced the closure of Spiders, one of its owned development studios known for publishing titles such as GreedFall and Steelrising. The situation reflects broader difficulties within the company, as multiple Nacon-owned studios—including Spiders, Kylotonn, and Cyanide—have announced their own insolvency filings.
Despite these challenges, Nacon is pressing ahead with the showcase, scheduled to broadcast at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST across the company’s YouTube and Twitch channels. According to the publisher’s press release, the event will feature exclusive gameplay sequences for anticipated titles and is intended to highlight the company’s ongoing projects across both its accessories division and game publishing operations.
The decision to proceed with the showcase so soon after the studio closure has been characterized as somewhat aggressive, though industry observers note that Nacon may be eager to demonstrate that its publishing business remains viable despite the financial turmoil affecting the broader organization.
