Cyberpunk bartending sim VA-11 Hall-A devs’ first game in 10 years finally launches this summer

Sukeban Games has announced the summer 2026 release of .45 Parabellum Bloodhound, the studio’s first game in a decade since their cult classic cyberpunk visual novel VA-11 Hall-A. The release coincides with VA-11 Hall-A’s 10-year anniversary on June 21, 2026.

.45 Parabellum Bloodhound represents a significant stylistic departure from its predecessor. While VA-11 Hall-A presented a lighthearted exterior belying a dark, dystopic setting where players tended bar and interacted with patrons, the new title shifts toward anime-style action gameplay. Drawing inspiration from 2000s anime—particularly evoking the visual aesthetic of Madhouse’s Death Note era—the game features gaunt, pale character designs and a darker overall tone.

The stylistic evolution indicates Sukeban Games is exploring new gameplay genres while maintaining the atmospheric, character-driven storytelling that made VA-11 Hall-A resonate with players. A newly unveiled trailer provided additional story and gameplay details, positioning .45 Parabellum Bloodhound as a distinctly different experience from the studio’s debut despite sharing thematic commitment to mature, visually distinctive narratives.
