The Next Big Star Wars Game Gets A Release Date

Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new racing game from developer Fuse Games, has been officially confirmed for release on October 6, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The announcement comes after an accidental leak earlier in the week revealed the date on a Steam page listing.

The game invites players to join the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit set in the lawless Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy. Players will race various vehicles including landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders. Fuse Games, the developer behind the title, was founded in 2023 by a team of former Criterion Software leads.

Pre-orders are now available across all platforms in multiple editions. The Standard Edition starts at $59.99/£49.99/€59.99, while the Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99/£64.99/€79.99 and includes a digital art book, three exclusive repulsorcraft, a deluxe livery, and three unique additional items. A physical Collector’s Edition is also available for $160. All pre-orders include a bonus player banner and exclusive livery for the player’s repulsorcraft that can be used across multiple vehicle types.
