EA Sports Madden NFL 27 Is On Its Way To Switch 2
EA Sports has officially announced Madden NFL 27 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, with an eShop listing confirming an August 14, 2026 release date. The game will require approximately 50GB of storage space on the hybrid console.
This announcement follows the August 2025 launch of Madden NFL 26 on Switch 2, which was praised as a solid port despite technical compromises. Although Madden 26 experienced server issues at launch, the port ultimately received positive reception for its quality, with players willing to accept the reduced 40fps frame rate as a reasonable trade-off for console portability.
The confirmation of Madden NFL 27 on Switch 2 demonstrates EA Sports’ continued commitment to supporting the platform. Based on Madden 26’s track record, players can expect similar performance characteristics and technical specifications, making the 50GB file size a manageable requirement for those with adequate storage capacity.
