Five Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In Early May 2026
Microsoft has announced that five games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass during early May 2026. All departing titles have been marked as “leaving soon” on the official Xbox mobile app, alerting subscribers to their upcoming removal.
The most significant departure is Planet of Lana, which is particularly notable as its sequel recently launched on Xbox Game Pass. Other notable losses include Go Mecha Ball and Galacticare, which represent popular titles within the service.
To offset the removal of these titles, Microsoft is offering subscribers the opportunity to purchase these games at discounts of at least 20% until May 15th, 2026—the official departure date. Some games may receive even deeper discounts through additional Microsoft Store promotions over the coming weeks.
The company has confirmed that new games will be added to Xbox Game Pass throughout May 2026, including several day-one releases, to help compensate for the losses and maintain the service’s appeal to subscribers.
