My Hero Academia spin-off anime short starring Eri announced
A new My Hero Academia anime short has been announced, continuing the franchise’s presence following the recent finale of the main series. The short, titled I am a hero too, will center on Eri, a prominent character from the original story. The project is based on a one-shot manga illustrated by series creator Kohei Horikoshi, originally published for My Hero Academia: Ultra Age. This one-shot manga explores Eri’s experiences as she enters high school in the years following the conclusion of the main series. While comprehensive plot details have not yet been disclosed, the anime adaptation is expected to closely follow the source material’s narrative.
The announcement was strategically timed to coincide with My Hero Academia’s tenth anniversary celebration, commemorating the anime’s debut in April 2016. The short was revealed immediately following the broadcast of “More,” the 171st episode of the anime series, which served as the official epilogue to the main story. Currently, only the anime short’s promotional logo has been released publicly, with additional information and production details expected in future announcements.
