Sony’s Superhero PS5, PC Fighter Entering the ‘Final Stages’ of Development
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, developed by Arc System Works, is entering the final stages of development for PlayStation 5 and PC. The news was confirmed following the game’s appearance at EVO Japan this weekend, where Sony showcased updated builds of the superhero fighting game.
The roster continues to expand, with developers confirming The Incredible Hulk and Shuri’s Black Panther as the latest additions to the game’s growing cast. These join previously announced characters Captain America and Iron Man, forming what appears to be an Avengers-focused squad. To date, 14 characters have been officially revealed, with six more still to be announced.
The fighting game community is speculating about unrevealed characters based on recent trailer teasers. Fan analysis suggests Carnage may be joining the roster, potentially as part of a villains-themed team alongside Doctor Doom.
Sony has been actively promoting Marvel Tokon through the competitive fighting game circuit, bringing updated builds to major tournaments worldwide. A new version featuring Black Panther and the newly designed Wakanda stage will be playable at Combo Break, giving players hands-on time with the latest additions before the game’s release.
