Open-World Survival ‘Smalland: Survive The Wilds’ Announced For Switch 2
Maximum Entertainment has announced that Smalland: Survive the Wilds will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 14, 2026. The open-world survival game, originally revealed earlier this year, had been scheduled for a Spring 2026 release on the platform.
The Switch 2 version will feature all post-launch updates and content that have already been released on other platforms. Players take on the role of the Smallfolk, a tiny civilization navigating a vast wilderness filled with towering grass, insects, and creatures. The game presents a carefully crafted miniature world where ordinary natural elements become towering obstacles and adventure opportunities.
Smallland: Survive the Wilds was previously compared to Grounded when first announced, drawing parallels to that game’s approach to survival mechanics in a dangerous, oversized environment. The game promises a fully realized open world designed around the perspective of diminutive characters exploring environments that dwarf them.
The announcement includes a new trailer showcasing the game’s visuals and gameplay. With the May 14 release date arriving shortly after the announcement, players interested in the survival title will soon be able to experience it on Nintendo’s latest console generation.
