The Critical Role Campaign 4 Dol-Makjar map exists – Critters just haven’t seen it yet
Critical Role fans have long awaited the public reveal of a map for the streaming tabletop RPG’s fourth campaign, set in the world of Aramán. While Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has captivated audiences with his elegant narration of the fantasy setting—featuring locations like the mountainous Riesingürtle and the perpetual darkness of the Eternal Night—no world map has been publicly released.
However, the show’s maps do exist. Campaign 4, which takes place on the continent of Pasitar, includes a map that has been provided to the players in their binders, though it remains unseen by the viewing audience. In a new development, actors Liam O’Brien and Taliesin Jaffe, who play characters Halandil Fang and Bolaire Lothalia respectively, revealed during an interview with Polygon that Mulligan has created an additional detailed map of Dol-Makjar, the campaign’s primary city.
Despite having completed considerable gameplay within Dol-Makjar, the map remains unrevealed to viewers. The revelation came during Polygon’s video interview with the two cast members, who expressed their own surprise regarding the situation. This disclosure hints that comprehensive world-building materials exist behind the scenes, even as the campaign continues to unfold for its audience. The maps’ eventual release could provide fans with a more complete understanding of the world’s geography and help visualize the environments that have been so vividly described throughout Campaign 4.
