Myst, Riven Remakes Officially Confirmed for PS5, with Full PSVR2 Support
Cyan Worlds has officially announced that its remakes of the classic puzzle games Myst and Riven are coming to PlayStation 5 on May 19, 2026. Both titles were originally released in the 1990s for PlayStation 1 and PC, and Cyan Worlds created modern remakes of both games—releasing Myst in 2021 and Riven in 2024.
The PS5 versions will feature full support for PlayStation VR2, allowing players to experience these iconic first-person puzzle games either on their TV or with Sony’s virtual reality headset. Additionally, both games have been optimized for PS5 Pro, taking advantage of the more powerful console hardware to deliver enhanced performance and visual quality.
With modernized controls and updated visuals, the remakes bring these seminal puzzle games into the current generation while maintaining their core appeal. The availability of wishlist functionality on the PlayStation Store allows interested players to prepare for the May 19 launch. This marks an important moment in game preservation, bringing these influential titles to a new audience on the latest PlayStation hardware.
