Other significant day-one arrivals include Subnautica 2 (May 14), the long-awaited sequel to the critically-acclaimed 2018 underwater survival adventure, which comes after a turbulent development period.

The lineup also features notable indie titles including Mixtape, a music-focused game from the developer of The Artful Escape; Outbound (May 11), described as a cozy open-world exploration game; and Doom: The Dark Ages. The diverse mix of AAA and indie titles across multiple genres has prompted gaming outlets to characterize May 2026 as exceptionally packed, making it difficult for subscribers to choose which day-one releases to prioritize.
