Ambitious Hades 2 Mod Combines It With Everything From The First Game
A talented modder has created an ambitious mod for Hades 2 that seamlessly integrates the entire original Hades game into the sequel. The mod, titled “Zagreus’ Journey,” was created by modder NikkelM and allows players to experience all the content from the first Hades while playing as Melinoë, the protagonist of Hades 2.
The mod enables players to revisit the original game’s iconic biomes—Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium, and the Temple of Styx—and face off against familiar enemies and bosses using Melinoë’s unique abilities and weapons. According to the mod’s description, players can “battle familiar foes and bosses, meet Zagreus’ old friends, and reconnect with your family’s past,” all integrated into Hades 2 as if the content had always been part of the main game.
What makes this achievement particularly impressive is how elegantly the modder accomplished this feat as a free, solo project. Despite Hades 2 already being a significantly larger game than its predecessor—featuring more biomes, gameplay systems, and characters to interact with—NikkelM managed to expand it further by incorporating an entire additional game’s worth of content.
