Renowned comedian Matt Berry helped create “lots of fun Bane bits” in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
British comedian Matt Berry has been cast to voice the villain Bane in TT Games’ upcoming title Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. According to executive producer Matt Ellison, who spoke at a recent preview event for the game, Berry is bringing a notably mischievous interpretation to the iconic DC antagonist, creating what Ellison described as “lots of fun Bane bits.”
Berry brings considerable comedic and acting credentials to the role. The performer is widely recognized for his portrayal of Douglas Reynholm, the bombastic and inappropriate boss character in the British sitcom The IT Crowd. He has also gained significant recognition for his role as the eccentric vampire Leslie “Laszlo” Cravensworth in the anthology horror-comedy series What We Do In The Shadows. More recently, Berry expanded into major streaming productions, providing voice work for Amazon’s acclaimed Fallout television adaptation, where he voiced the Mr. Handy character known as Snip Snip.
The casting represents TT Games’ continued approach of recruiting recognizable entertainment talent for their Lego game adaptations.
