Mina The Hollower Finally Has A Release Date, At Long Last
Mina the Hollower, the highly anticipated pixel-art adventure from Yacht Club Games (creators of Shovel Knight), finally has an official release date. After years of anticipation since its 2022 announcement, the game will launch on May 29, 2026, for $19.99.
The Game Boy Color-inspired title channels the style of classic top-down Legend of Zelda games and was originally scheduled for Halloween 2025 before being delayed in October 2025. The development team recommitted to delivering their best work, and the game recently went gold. Players control Mina, a “Hollower” on a mission to rescue a cursed island filled with monsters, in what promises to be an orthodox take on the action-adventure genre.
Mina the Hollower will launch simultaneously across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version notably supports 120fps gameplay. The approximately six-year development cycle reflects the developer’s commitment to quality, though Yacht Club Games has indicated the title’s success is crucial to the studio’s future. Based on limited-time demos and gameplay footage released throughout development, the indie gaming community remains highly optimistic about the final product.
