Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Revealed, And You Can Almost Hear The Motion Tracker Already
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has been officially announced by developers Cold Iron Studios and publisher Daybreak Game Company. The sequel to 2021’s Aliens: Fireteam Elite is scheduled for Summer 2026 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S as a current-generation only title.
The game maintains the third-person PvE shooter core gameplay but introduces significant enhancements. Most notably, the cooperative fireteam expands from three to four players, enabling larger squad-based operations. The sequel will feature full cross-play support across all platforms and promises deeper squad mechanics with smarter enemy AI.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 introduces a “massive variety of new xenomorphs” alongside improved and customizable character classes. Players can fine-tune a fully customizable Specialist class by mixing abilities to suit their playstyle. The developers emphasize a “bigger and better” experience with enhanced team-based mechanics as key improvements distinguishing it from the original.
