Is Mixtape On Xbox Game Pass?
Mixtape, the latest game from Beethoven & Dinosaur (developers of the BAFTA award-winning The Artful Escape), has launched as a day-one addition to Xbox Game Pass as of May 7, 2026. The narrative-driven indie title is now available to Game Pass subscribers across multiple platforms.
Described as a coming-of-age story inspired by classic films, Mixtape combines gameplay elements reminiscent of Life is Strange with themes of friendship, growth, and bittersweet transitions. The game explores the emotional complexity of adolescence through music, nostalgia, and the highs and lows of growing up, focusing particularly on the complicated feelings surrounding friendship and personal change.
The game is available across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Cloud Gaming platforms to Game Pass subscribers. Console players can access it through Xbox Game Pass, while PC users benefit from the PC Game Pass tier, and cloud gamers can play through the cloud service option.
Mixtape’s arrival as a day-one Game Pass title means subscribers can play without additional purchase, aligning with Xbox’s ongoing strategy of adding critically acclaimed indie titles to the service’s growing library. Games continue to be added to Game Pass regularly, and Mixtape represents the type of narrative-focused indie content that has resonated with the platform’s audience.
The game’s focus on heartfelt storytelling about growing up, friendship, and personal transformation positions it as a standout addition to Game Pass’s offerings for players seeking emotional, character-driven narratives.
