Unity launches suite of AI tools to help creators accelerate game development
Unity has launched an open beta suite of AI tools designed to accelerate game development across its platform. Available to all developers using Unity 6 or newer, the tools aim to help creators build games more efficiently while improving quality.
The centerpiece is the Agentic Assistant, an intelligent helper that operates within game projects to support developers in understanding their work and using Unity’s tools more effectively. Beyond the core assistant, the suite includes Plan mode for organizing implementation steps and Skills for expert guidance in specialized areas like UI creation and scene setup.
The toolset also addresses practical development needs with instant rollback capabilities, allowing developers to quickly undo changes, and automated asset generation tools for creating placeholder assets during prototyping and early-stage development. The open beta status indicates Unity is gathering feedback from the developer community before a full release, refining the tools based on real-world usage patterns.
