Wuthering Waves Is Giving Away Rebecca for Free in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Collab on PS5

Wuthering Waves is launching a collaboration with CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime in June, bringing characters from the series into the gacha game. Players will receive Rebecca, a 5-Star Resonator, for free as part of the crossover. Lucy, another character from the anime, will be available through the game’s gacha system and will require pulling to unlock.

The crossover was announced over a year ago, but this marks the first look at how the characters appear in Wuthering Waves’ engine. The character models have been recreated to closely match their anime designs, with Rebecca and Lucy arriving in the game world of Solaris. The visual presentation suggests the characters have been faithfully adapted from the anime, though detailed combat capabilities have not yet been revealed.

This collaboration represents a significant content update for the live-service title, bringing recognizable characters from a popular anime property to its player base. The approach of offering one character for free while placing the other behind gacha mechanics reflects standard monetisation practices in live-service games.
