Amazon Prime’s 11 ‘free’ games for May include Mafia II Definitive Edition
Amazon Prime has announced 11 free games available in May for Luna subscribers, with Mafia II: Definitive Edition among the month’s offerings. Luna, which was previously branded as Prime Gaming, continues to offer Prime subscribers a rotating selection of PC games they can claim, download, and keep as part of their subscription.
Mafia II: Definitive Edition is a 2020 remaster of 2K’s original 2010 action-adventure title. Unlike competing services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, which offer subscription-only access to game libraries, Luna’s monthly game selection allows players to permanently own the titles they claim, providing lasting value within their Prime membership.
The service’s model distinguishes it from pure cloud gaming platforms by enabling local downloads, giving subscribers both streaming and traditional play options. This month’s lineup represents the latest iteration of Prime Gaming’s established practice of rotating game selections, delivering variety to subscribers seeking additional entertainment value from their Amazon Prime membership.
