Escape from Tarkov’s First Season Will Arrive in July

Battlestate Games has announced that Escape from Tarkov will launch its first core season in July, marking a significant shift toward seasonal content for the hardcore tactical shooter. The inaugural season, titled Kord Breach, will introduce a brand-new character category alongside existing PvP and PvE offerings, providing fresh experiences for both playstyles.

The seasonal structure was detailed during a TarkovTV broadcast by studio head Nikita Buyanov, who outlined how players will be able to apply difficulty modifiers from the start of each new season. The studio confirmed that seasons will follow one another in succession, establishing an ongoing content roadmap for the game’s future.

This move represents a major change for Escape from Tarkov, transitioning the game toward a live-service model with regular seasonal updates. The inclusion of customizable difficulty modifiers suggests Battlestate Games is aiming to accommodate players of varying skill levels while maintaining the game’s challenging reputation. The focus on both PvP and PvE content indicates an effort to cater to different player preferences within the same seasonal framework.
