Battlestate Games has announced ICEBREAKER, one of Escape from Tarkov’s most anticipated gameplay events, set to launch within the next three weeks as part of this month’s major update. The event introduces a new map of the same name, constructed around a nuclear-powered icebreaker ship positioned away from the city of Tarkov itself. The update will also feature a new boss encounter and an accompanying narrative storyline.
The announcement was made during the TarkovTV showcase, where Battlestate Games creative director Nikita Buyanov revealed details about the upcoming content. The presentation included a teaser for the event and the new location, along with explanations of what players can expect from the expansion.
The ICEBREAKER event represents a significant content milestone for the live-service tactical shooter, which maintains a dedicated global player base.
