Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch 2 Games
Nintendo has reconfirmed the release windows for its major upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 titles, as revealed in the company’s latest financial data. The schedule demonstrates a consistent monthly release cadence throughout the first half of 2026.
The confirmed release dates for Switch 2 are:
- Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (May 21, 2026)
- Star Fox (June 25, 2026)
- Splatoon Raiders (July 23, 2026)
Following Star Fox’s recent announcement, Nintendo’s software pipeline appears robust with regular monthly releases planned through mid-2026. The company is also releasing Rhythm Heaven Groove on the standard Switch platform.
Several major titles remain in development without firm launch dates. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is confirmed for 2026 but lacks a specific release window, while Pokémon Winds & Waves is scheduled for 2027. These later releases underscore Nintendo’s commitment to maintaining software momentum well beyond the Switch 2 launch period.
The staggered release strategy reflects Nintendo’s effort to sustain player engagement throughout 2026 and into 2027. The upcoming lineup spans diverse genres including action (Star Fox), platforming (Yoshi), competitive multiplayer (Splatoon), turn-based strategy (Fire Emblem), and creature-collecting (Pokémon), appealing to a broad audience.
