Pokémon Go Lechonk Community Day event guide
Pokémon Go is hosting a Lechonk Community Day event on Saturday, May 9 from 2-5 p.m. in each player’s local time. This three-hour event window gives players the opportunity to encounter Lechonk, the cute pink pig Pokémon from the Paldea region, as it spawns in significantly increased numbers throughout the duration of the event.
During Community Day, Lechonk will appear at vastly increased spawn rates with a notably high chance of encountering shiny variants. Based on established research from the Pokémon Go community, the typical shiny rate during Community Day events is approximately 1 in 24 encounters. This means dedicated players who actively participate throughout the three-hour window can expect to find multiple shiny Pokémon during their gameplay session.
Players should be aware that Lechonk’s evolved form, Oinkologne, exhibits gender-dependent visual differences between males and females. This characteristic means shiny hunters may want to target both male and female variants to fully complete their shiny collections. The event will also feature additional bonuses and perks typical of Community Day celebrations.
