Abiotic Factor just got another massive update that adds better pets, a ludicrously involved chemistry system, and most importantly, a mop for cleaning up all your failed experiments

Abiotic Factor, a sprawling science facility survival game from Deep Field Games, has received another substantial content update. Players who can easily spend 80+ hours exploring the facility’s Black Mesa-inspired research areas now have access to the “Cosmic Companions” patch, which adds significant new features and gameplay systems.

The update introduces three major additions: enhanced pet mechanics, an intricate chemistry system, and a mop tool for cleaning up experimental failures. These additions expand both gameplay depth and provide practical utilities for managing the facility’s chaotic research environment.

The patch also opens a new explorable dimension called the Dunkeltaler Forest, a coniferous portal world inhabited by creatures known as the Alpen. This fresh biome offers new encounters and areas for players to discover and investigate.

This update continues Deep Field Games’ pattern of substantial content expansions following the December “Holiday Cryosphere” patch, which introduced a large interactive snowglobe dimension. The consistent stream of major updates demonstrates the developer’s ongoing commitment to expanding the game’s scope and providing fresh gameplay experiences for its audience.
