Battlefield 6’s next huge update is almost here - here’s what’s new

EA has announced the rollout of patch 1.3.1.0 for Battlefield 6, a major update launching May 12th. The update brings significant new content and gameplay improvements to the live-service shooter.

Pre-download for the large patch becomes available at 10am UK time (9am UTC) on May 12th, with the full content going live at 1pm UK (12pm UTC) the same day. The update introduces a new map, additional weapons, and a fresh Battle Pass alongside ranked squad-based battle royale gameplay.

Beyond new content, the patch includes widespread improvements across multiple systems. The update addresses vehicle balance and functionality, gadget effectiveness, AI behavior, netcode performance, core gameplay mechanics, user interface refinements, and audio design. These improvements aim to further polish the overall Battlefield 6 experience.

Launching alongside the patch is Season 3, titled “Warlords: Supremacy,” which marks the opening of a three-part seasonal narrative arc that will rollout across the season. This structured seasonal approach indicates EA’s continued commitment to long-form content planning for the title.
