Guide: These 8+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out Next Week (4th-10th May)
PlayStation gamers have several notable releases to look forward to this week, with curators emphasizing quality over quantity. The standout title is Directive 8020, a sci-fi space horror experience from Supermassive Games that is anticipated to provide a significant gaming experience in the horror genre.
Complementing the lineup is Rugrats: Retro Rewind, which taps into nostalgia by reviving the beloved Nickelodeon franchise that defined PlayStation 1-era gaming. The retro-focused title appeals to players seeking experiences tied to 1990s pop culture and classic gaming mechanics.
Call of the Elder Gods launches May 12 for PS5, bringing Lovecraftian cosmic horror to the platform. The game features Professor Harry Everhart and student Evangeline Drayton navigating supernatural phenomena tied to an artifact uncovered a decade prior, exploring themes of psychological unease and otherworldly threats.
The upcoming releases span varied horror subgenres—from sci-fi atmospheric gameplay to retro platform adventures to cosmic horror narrative experiences—offering diverse options for different player preferences across PlayStation’s ecosystem.
