Star Fox Switch 2 amiibo Compatibility Confirmed, Here’s What You Can Unlock
Nintendo has confirmed amiibo compatibility for Star Fox on Switch 2, according to details revealed on the company’s Japanese website. Players can unlock exclusive in-game content by using amiibo figures with their games.
When amiibo are placed on a Joy-Con 2 or Switch 2 Pro Controller’s analog stick, they unlock exclusive backgrounds and emblems within the game. Nintendo has specifically confirmed compatibility with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo figures, including Fox, Falco, and Wolf, suggesting that other similar figures may also work with the game.
Beyond amiibo support, Star Fox on Switch 2 will include several social and customization features. The game supports GameChat character avatars, allowing players to appear as Fox McCloud and other crew members while chatting with friends online. Additionally, AR filter functionality adds Star Fox-themed visual effects, including character-inspired modifications like Star Fox ears or Falco-inspired beaks that can be applied to players’ faces during video calls and online interactions.
