Poll: Box Art Brawl - Bubsy In Claws Encounters Of The Furred Kind (SNES)
Nintendo Life’s “Box Art Brawl” feature returns with a focus on the classic SNES title Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind. The recurring series compares regional box art variations for iconic games, with readers voting on which artwork they prefer.
This week’s selection arrives amid anticipation for Bubsy 4D, launching on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The featured game marks the beginning of the bobcat protagonist’s enduring but turbulent gaming career, one that continues thriving today.
North American and European box art for the SNES original differ sufficiently to warrant separate poll entries. Last week’s Box Art Brawl showcased Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales for DS, where the North American artwork won decisively with 71% of the vote.
The feature invites gaming enthusiasts to weigh in on which regional presentation of the classic platformer resonates most with them, continuing the exploration of how game marketing and visual presentation have evolved across different geographical markets and gaming generations.
