Fortnite’s Star Wars Droid Tycoon Confirms a Terrifying New Addition
Star Wars Droid Tycoon, the popular game mode within Fortnite, has achieved new concurrent player records, with the recent BB-8 limited-time event attracting over 100,000 concurrent players. The event marked a significant milestone for the game mode by introducing BB-8 as its first Mythic Droid, demonstrating strong player interest in the Star Wars collaboration.
Following the successful BB-8 event, Fortnite developers have confirmed the arrival of a new droid character: Mister Bones. The developers teased the addition with the cryptic message that “this next droid doesn’t do cute beeps,” suggesting a more menacing character compared to the endearing BB-8. Players can now discover Mister Bones on the Droid Tycoon map, positioned near the destroyed AT-AT walker. The addition continues Fortnite’s strategy of leveraging the Star Wars franchise to drive sustained engagement in the game mode.
