Fast & Furious Has 4 TV Shows Coming to Peacock, According to Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel announced that four television shows set in the Fast & Furious universe are in development at NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming platform. The announcement came during the NBC Universal upfront presentation on Monday, marking a significant expansion of the franchise beyond theatrical releases.
Diesel, the franchise figurehead, will executive produce the series adaptation. The creative team includes writers Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who are attached to pen the pilot. Daniels brings substantial television experience from vehicle-focused series like Sons of Anarchy and Pan Am, and is currently writing and producing a revival of The Rockford Files, a classic show known for prominent car chases. Daniels and Coleman previously collaborated on the three-season crime drama Shades of Blue.
According to sources, Peacock currently has only the first show firmly set up, with the other three still in development stages. Specific details about individual show plots, characters, and interconnections within the broader Fast & Furious universe have not been disclosed.
This television expansion arrives as the franchise prepares for its 11th mainline film, Fast Forever, scheduled for 2028. The move represents a strategic pivot for the high-octane action series, leveraging NBCUniversal’s streaming platform to build a television universe similar to successful models like Yellowstone and its spin-offs.
