Overwatch anniversary event dates and skins revealed
Blizzard Entertainment is celebrating Overwatch’s 10th anniversary with a comprehensive in-game event running from May 12 to June 1, offering players a substantial collection of free cosmetics and rewards. The centerpiece of the celebration includes 21 exclusive epic-tier skins for the original launch heroes—the roster available before Ana’s 2016 addition—each featuring a distinctive purple design that marks them as anniversary exclusives.
Beyond the character skins, players will receive 15 Anniversary loot boxes upon logging in during the event period. The rewards continue through community engagement, with players able to earn additional Legendary-rarity loot boxes by completing weekly community challenges, encouraging ongoing participation throughout the event’s duration.
The cosmetic offerings extend further with 33 additional cosmetics created collaboratively by Blizzard’s development team and community members, alongside five weapon charms to customize player loadouts. A special 10th anniversary-themed charm will be among these rewards, symbolizing the milestone celebration.
