The Rings of Power Season 3 Premiere Date and New First-Look Photo Revealed
Amazon has announced that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will return for its third season on November 11, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video. The announcement was made during Amazon’s annual Upfront presentation on Monday and included a new first-look image from the upcoming season.
The mega-budget fantasy series, based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s universe, is set during the Second Age—long before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The show follows Sauron’s rise to power as he forges the rings he ultimately uses to enslave Middle-earth, with Charlie Vickers portraying the Dark Lord.
According to Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, the show’s success reflects its quality and global appeal. He stated: “From the very beginning, this series has embodied the scale, ambition, and cinematic storytelling that define Prime Video’s biggest global series. The extraordinary response from millions of fans around the world has made it clear that this journey through Middle-earth continues to resonate.”
The November premiere date marks the continuation of Amazon’s investment in premium fantasy television, with the series maintaining its position as one of Prime Video’s flagship programs.
