Rocket League Paris Major Esports Bundle Announced

Rocket League has announced a new cosmetics bundle designed to support esports competition at the Paris Major, beginning May 20. The bundle will cost 1,000 in-game credits (approximately $9.99 USD) and features themed items including the Shot Caller Decal, Heat Lightning Wheels, Slay Maker Boost, and the “Surge” Player anthem by Habstrakt & Lizdek.

A key feature of this bundle is that 100% of its net sales—proceeds after taxes—will be directed toward the prize pool, split between the best-performing individual players and top-performing teams at the Paris Major. This funding model means the more bundles sold, the larger the prize pool will grow, directly incentivizing community support for the event.

This approach mirrors strategies employed by other major esports publishers. Riot Games recently used a similar model with their 2XKO Frame Rate esports skin line at Evo, which generated a $75,000 prize pool through cosmetics sales. The model has become standard practice in the esports industry, allowing game publishers to fund competitive events through community purchases while providing cosmetic incentives for players.

The bundle represents Rocket League’s continued investment in its RLCS (Rocket League Championship Series) competitive ecosystem, tying cosmetic monetization directly to esports success.
