Every Game Getting “Switch 2 Edition” Enhanced Versions

Nintendo has officially branded enhanced versions of games for its Switch 2 console as “Switch 2 Edition.” The initiative encompasses both brand-new releases and upgraded versions of existing games originally developed for the original Switch hardware.

Among the early releases, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends Z-A launched with Switch 2 Edition versions at the console’s debut. Additionally, previously released titles such as Super Mario Party Jamboree are receiving upgrades to take advantage of Switch 2’s enhanced capabilities.

For players who already own compatible games on the original Switch, Nintendo is offering upgrade paths to the Switch 2 Editions. These upgrades typically carry a $10 price point, though select titles may vary from this standard pricing. This approach allows existing Switch owners to access improved versions of their current library without repurchasing games in full on the new platform.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also part of this initiative, though specific details regarding its Switch 2 Edition were not included in available information.
