Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters Reveals August 2026 Kick-Off For Switch

Bandai Namco has announced that Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters will launch on Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2026. The announcement, revealed through a Japanese story trailer, arrives ahead of the real-world World Cup tournament in June.

The publisher has detailed multiple editions and pre-order incentives for the title. Players who pre-order will receive in-game bonuses including the 2026 Japan National Team Jersey, World Youth Jersey, and an early unlock pack.

Three editions are available: a standard edition containing the base game; a deluxe edition bundling the main game with a season pass featuring bonus content and three DLC character packs; and an ultimate edition including the main game, season pass, five uniforms, two exclusive main menu themes, and three ball customizations.

The August release timing appears strategically positioned to capitalize on global interest following the World Cup. Bandai Namco’s multi-tiered edition structure and planned DLC content demonstrate a clear monetization strategy, with cosmetic items and seasonal passes forming key components of the post-launch offering.
