MoistCr1TiKaL Says Jynxzi Event Was What NA and LCS Needed

Content creator Nicholas ‘Jynxzi’ Stewart organized a League of Legends tournament featuring 40 streamers that drew massive viewership, establishing itself as a significant esports moment for 2026. The event peaked at 908,068 concurrent viewers with over 4.6 million hours watched, making it the fourth-most-watched LoL tournament of the year—surpassing both the LCS Lock-In (185k peak) and Americas Cup (238k viewership). Only the LCK and First Stand international tournament attracted higher numbers.

The tournament featured six teams led by novice captains, each with one Challenger-ranked player forced into support roles using non-damage items. Notable streamers including MrBeast, Ludwig Ahgren, and ohnePixel participated in the competition, which was ultimately won by Team Ray, led by player Chen-Ruei ‘Ray’ Hsu.

The event’s success has sparked conversation within the competitive League community about the region’s future. Charles Christopher ‘MoistCr1TiKaL’ White Jr., co-owner of Shopify Rebellion and fellow content creator, highlighted the tournament as evidence of what the North American League scene desperately needs. He emphasized that Riot Games should increase engagement with streamers and community-driven events, arguing that such initiatives are essential for the region’s survival and growth. This sentiment underscores growing recognition that grassroots, streamer-led competitions may be vital to revitalizing interest in North American League of Legends.
