Lego’s huge Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith set revealed
Lego and Warner Bros. have unveiled a massive new set based on Minas Tirith, the capital city of Gondor from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The set, officially titled “Lego Icons The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith - 25th Anniversary Legacy Collection,” is one of Lego’s largest builds ever produced, comprising 8,278 pieces that recreate the iconic white city from the films.
With only a handful of sets surpassing it in size, the Minas Tirith build is larger than Lego’s famous Millennium Falcon set, though it falls just short of the record-holding Death Star. The ambitious construction project showcases Lego’s commitment to bringing complex architectural designs to life through intricate brick-by-brick assembly.
The set includes 10 minifigures representing key characters from the Lord of the Rings films, including Aragorn and Arwen. These collectible figures add narrative depth and allow fans to recreate iconic scenes from the trilogy within the physical set. The announcement marks another significant release in Lego’s continued expansion into the Middle-earth universe, capitalizing on both the films’ enduring cultural impact and the passionate fan base surrounding J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy world.
