Marvel Rivals Season 8 Says “To Me, My X-Men” With Cyclops Reveal
Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games has unveiled Season 8: Sins of Alchemax, launching May 15, 2026, introducing major roster expansions to the free-to-play hero shooter. Devil Dinosaur, a Vanguard hero and the 50th character addition to the game, will arrive at the season’s start, followed by X-Men leader Cyclops in the subsequent Season 8.5 update.
The new season centers on the sinister Alchemax corporation, the antagonist responsible for a recent “Time Plague” outbreak in Lower Manhattan. Players must cooperate to neutralize the threat before the defiant corporation strikes again. The update includes a fresh map titled Alchemax Headquarters, alongside new cosmetic accessories and PC storage optimization improvements.
Devil Dinosaur, described as bringing “raw, primal power” to the roster, represents a relatively niche addition to Marvel Rivals compared to the upcoming Cyclops, though the character will appear alongside fan-favorite Moon Girl. Both new heroes will be available to all players at no additional cost, maintaining the game’s free-to-play accessibility model as NetEase continues its aggressive character expansion strategy.
